Optimum has invited to its talent pool already dozens of proven executives, who have successfully executed business strategies and transformations. Their background lies for example in business management, digitalization, sales and marketing, procurement and supply chain management, HR, corporate responsibility and communications. Besides this highly selective pool, Optimum management partners provide their own competencies and experience to customer assignments.
Optimum Executives Ltd, based in Helsinki Finland, is co-founded in autumn 2021 with Patrik Kvikant, Managing Partner of the executive search company Odgers Berndtson.
Ilari has an extensive experience in developing and leading international digital and technology operations in large corporations. Previously Ilari has been serving as a group CDO in Konecranes and as head of global R&D in Wärtsilä. Ilari has led R&D&I in energy and marine businesses, and built ground up new teams for service design, business design, data science and portfolio management areas.
Ilari has been the Chairman of the Board in Dimecc Oy and Clic Innovation Oy and awarded as CTO of the Year in 2016.
Today, Ilari is an angel investor and actively helping companies in different stages as a part-time executive and board member.
Ilari brings wide set of skills and large company leadership experience from strategy to hands-on implementation, building new business, new operations or restructuring and change management. On the other hand, he can challenge the status quo and help customers to capture best practice customer driven methodologies and technologies used by start-ups.
Petri has extensive experience in senior management positions in the food industry in Finland, Russia, Sweden and the Baltic countries, and he is also well acquainted with the grocery trade in these countries. He has also successfully worked in the media and oil business. Petri has been involved in major strategy development, business development, M&A and business startup tasks and their operational implementation.
Before joining Optimum Executives, Petri worked at Fazer for 14 years in various senior management positions, including in the Group Management Team. For the past two years, he has lived in Sweden, being responsible for a major reorganization. Prior to Fazer, Petri was on the management team of Helsingin Sanomat in charge of corporate customers and at Esso Oil in various marketing management positions, and at the turn of the millennium he launched the internet recruitment business of the international listed company Stepstone in Finland.
In addition to strong strategic expertise and analytics, Petri is an innovative human leader with the ability to get organizations to implement strategies. Due to his good negotiation skills, he is good at leading strategic partnerships.
Petri wants to help companies develop and implement strategies and achieve their goals of profitable growth. Due to his long experience and quick adoption, Petri is able to quickly take on challenging management roles.
Harri is a Business Executive with a wide range of experiences in the technology, process, logistics, and supply chain intensive industries in Finland, Norway, and Germany. He has successfully delivered several challenging business transformations, P&L improvement, operations turnaround, M&A, and growth initiatives with various type of owners from listed to PE-owned.
He started his professional career in international robotics industry, continued into Chief Supply Chain Officer roles at Kemira GrowHow/Yara and at CPS Color. Moved then to Posti Group first as Chief Procurement Officer, then heading Supply Chain Outsourcing business and eventually through major productivity, growth and M&A initiatives became CEO of Transval Group. He also has experience from Board of Director work both as chair and member.
Harri has versatile skills to create value across the entire value chain and has a solid track record of building new businesses and leading operations to excellence. He is highly skilled in establishing a sharp vision and direction for business innovation and foresees market disruption opportunities or transformation needs generated by digitalization/eCommerce, modern supply chains or new automation technologies.
Harri is great at engaging and influencing diverse stakeholders and have a solid reputation for collaborating, working in strategic partnerships, and building networks. He has an extensive leadership experience from managing, developing and motivating teams and maximizing talent.
Samppa is a proven Communications Executive with strong experience in driving business and change. Before co-founding Optimum Executives, he has worked in leading communications roles in listed global companies like Amer Sports, Comptel, Pöyry and Sonera within consumer goods, software, consulting and telecom industries.
He has also advised many other businesses and accomplished numerous strategic projects while working with large and mid-sized companies as a senior communications consultant. Besides, Samppa has gained valuable insight on Optimum’s service concept when working for Amer Sports as outsourced Head of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations on a part-time basis.
He masters both strategic planning and operative execution, and his expertise includes IPOs, share issues and M&As, as well as reputation management and crisis communications. Throughout his career, Samppa has worked closely with top managements, managed and motivated teams, and reached outstanding results in building dialogue and engagement with the global investment community, media and other corporate stakeholders.
As a dedicated person with a solid strategic, business and people-oriented mindset Samppa enjoys achieving results with different kinds of professionals across all fields and industries.
Mika, better known as ”Vidi”, has a vast experience on both HR and business worlds. He has more than 25 years track record both in senior HR & business positions (including Head of HR, Nokia Mobile Phones, and Head of HR, Fazer Group) in international businesses, big matrix organisations as well as solid entrepreneurship experience.
Vidi has been working lately as HR entrepreneur through his own company supporting both big and small companies on their HR development & execution, growth paths and complex transformations both on strategic level and hands-on.
In HR space Vidi masters both strategic and operative HR, transformations & change management, organizational development & talent management among others. His unbiased business focus and widely recognized people leadership skills have helped him to excel in building executive consensus and fostering team trust, collaboration, and motivation across global teams in all levels. Besides that, he has proven success in internal and external partnering, M&A as well as in alliance / partner management over his extensive international career.
